If I close my eyes

would You open Yours in mine?
would you come to pause within our body, oh Lord
soothe the chords that bruise and bind.
If I close my ears
tell me,
would you whisper Your essence in mine?
could we be,
guided back home by Your Celestial groan
breathe deep into Your wordless grapevine.

And when the rising sap from our mouth springs forth
help us taste Sophia’s sweet grace
be the salve and shield for our conscience dear Lord
and let our bodies embody Your ways

So that:

eyes to Eye, ears to Ear
Oh Nameless One, mirror most Light
we offer
all of ourselves right here
So that:
hearts to One Heart
and moving breath upon Your breathing
within Your spacious graciousness oh Lord
we rest this life, Love and all of our being.
