my daily prayer to this meandering small self

my daily prayer to this meandering small self

being beautifully fed, watered and grown from within the echo’s of Hazrat Inayat Khan (vol 7 p222 onwards), whose words encourage a deepening within One enduring, loving and forgiving Heart.

May my temperament be a negative temperament, resigned, perfectly resigned to the will of Love.

May i learn patience, confidence, endurance, tolerance.

May i carry my cross; be crucified a thousand times.

Ongoing in this life, may i know what Love is.

And as i already flow within the abundance of silent air

May i also rest my need to know.

Effacing myself may i smooth away my thougths of personality.

May i dissolve the rock and out of which become water.

May my way not be the hammer but of water, for the hammer breaks a rock, while water surrounds it and makes its way.

May my way give peace and comfort to those who come in contact with it.

May i heal and lift up those who are grasping in darkness, who are touching the depths of their earth.

May i develop love that one desires to see in our mothers and fathers and may that love be flowing towards every person, every soul.

It is not just a fable that the trees and the rocks speak, may my sympathy develop so i hear the rock and plant and tree.

Breathing for and with me, may we still.

Within this sharing breeze may roots enmesh, may Fragrances restore, refresh, awaken at our very core.

May nature open up before me.

May i communicate, wordlessly, with every form of life.

May it not be necesscary that i should leave this world, for whether in a forest or admist the worlds strife, the souls of human kindness are always capable of rising to great heights.

May i wish

desire beyond desire

move and immerse

this small self

within these waves and vibrations of Beloved Oneness

always and forever may we

inter-be

so be it

let it be so

Amen.

Refreshing the Blessing

I am currently on a song writing course,

here’s this weeks offering

Verse 1
Near to The One are we that mourn
While hungering for Life re-born
Renewal comes to aching hearts
Who warm in Love while pulled apart
For everyone becomes in me
The thoughts I offer them to be
If I am stone I feel no pain
But am denuded just the same

Chorus:

And now beyond the fear, receive both loud and clear:
Blessings from you, Blessings from me
Joining anew with Loves unity
Goodness becoming, Goodness refreshing
These Blessings on Blessings, on Blessings, on Blessings

Verse 2
To shrink our ego’s near to nought
Intention needs to follow thought
When silence in our hearts take root
We blossom into ripened fruit
When with the loveless we consort
Good News breaks through to now report
Our suffering’s washing out again
As Blessings come from sun and rain.

Chorus:
And now let us rejoice, by lifting-up our voice:
Blessings from you, Blessings from me
Joining anew with Loves unity
Goodness becoming, Goodness refreshing
These Blessings on Blessings, on Blessings, on Blessings

Bridge:
Within this moment and this breath
Pause to re-remember that we are Blessed.

Verse 3
How fluidly for friends and foe
Do blessings from peacemaker’s flow
They float on Oceans unity
Make Graceful waves while all at sea
Immersed within the merciful
Awashed with Love for one and all
These beautiful forgiving ones
Bring buoyancy to living stones.

Stretching the Beatitudes

Blessed are

the softened ones, the peacemakers, the pure in heart

With gentleness and unity they grow with Grace consistently

Near to Light are they that mourn while hungering for Life re-bourn

and Blessed are the merciful, those wishing well to one and all

Renewal comes to aching hearts who warm in Love while pulled apart

For everyone is to us, what we think them to be

Of course, the stone can feel no pain:

They are denuded, they do not flourish, nor do they blossom into ripening fruit

Within this Blessed sun and rain.

(Blessed pronounced Ble-ssed)
